InSytu Advanced Healthcare Simulation was born out of the Gossman Center for Advanced Health Simulation, founded at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle in 2007.
While this early work in simulation led to more successful outcomes for Swedish, the leadership of the Gossman Center felt that onsite simulations would, ultimately, be more valuable to care teams. So, in 2010, the program was expanded to serve hospital systems besides Swedish, and to perform simulations at the client’s site.
In 2014, the onsite program was spun off as a separate program under the name InSytu Advanced Healthcare Simulation. The leadership and simulation teams remain intact, bringing more than 35 years of experience to InSytu clients.
- Evidence-based, outcome-driven, and focused on performance improvement.
- More than 35 years of collective experience, with 1,000-plus simulation sessions conducted.
- Simulations have included more than 2,600 physician and 4,000 nurse and staff participants.
